Birthdays, As it isn't bad enough that I just had a birthday, my son turned 12 today. It's like a double whammy to the age issue. Not only I get older but I have to watch my son get older (and daughter, but that just doesn't bother me as much). And 12 just seems like its gone to far. Not only that but somehow in the last month or so he grew and now I look up to him. YES!!! He is now taller than me. It happened overnight. He went to bed, went to school, came home and he was taller than me. I'm not kidding, that's the way it happened.
So anyway Bryce is now 12, and he's already talking about being 13. I asked him politely if he could wait to talk about that till at least June. He laughed and thought I was kidding. Every year for his birthday I let him choose to go to school late and I'll take him to breakfast or pick him up early and take him to lunch. This year he choose lunch. When I picked him up he was claiming he was 12. I told him that that today was his "Birth...Day", but he wasn't 12 until the time he was actually born. I made him wait till it was 1:47pm before I would call him 12. He seemed to find that funny too. Guess I wanted to prolong it as long as I could. LOL!!
