Past Memories

I realized I had been doing this blog for over a year and I was looking though my past posts and came across this one. I had posted it October 26,2005. Well it is hard not to notice how fast time goes when you have children, but I had no idea that Bryce had been talk ing to this girl, Danielle, until I saw this post. Bryce just went rollerskating with this girl the other day. Holy cow. I had no idea that this had been going on this long. It had only been phone calls till about 3 weeks ago when he had gone to mystic village with Danielle and Ruth. Then rollerskating the last two weekends in a row. Hum... I think I need to watch this a little closer. My little boy is growing up.

Well last night I get home and there is a message on the answering machine. I hit play and some girls voice says "Hi Bryce! It's Danielle. Give me a call when you get home." I looked at Bryce and said " Who's Danielle?" He said " she's my girlfriend. Can I call her back?" he said it so, mater of factually, it was almost scary. Stunned by the whole thing, off he went to call her back. Now don't get me wrong he has claimed to have had a girlfriend before, but I took it as a little boy thing. When he ever look at me and said she's my girlfriend, and he met her at a birthday party he went to this summer, he all of a sudden looked so much older and completely serious about what he said. It snuck up on me kind of fast,at least I thought so. Sure enough she called again today. Oh boy, I think I'm up for a few interesting years ahead of me. Then I have Kalaia over here that now walks all over the place, just got two more teeth and said "more" and "thank you" all in the last two days. They just grow up so fast. And they do it right before your eyes but some how you always look back and say " when did this happen?" Go Figure!!!!
